THE LOST SEX TAPES

"The Lost Sex Tapes" is a collage of private MiniDV recordings from the archive of the artist Bert Neumann (1960-2015). The video shows how closely his private and professional lives were interwoven and how his life on the countryside of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern influenced his artistic work from Berlin to New York and Sao Paulo. Iggy Pop's "I wanna be your dog", sung into a megaphone by Neumann at a private basement concert in 2005, becomes a bracket for a life between city and country, between high culture and punk and the many advantages of a dog's life.
